Finally, three stops away from the Porte d'Orléans, you can visit Paris's catacombs ! Genuine underground maze in the heart of Paris, catacombs were adapted in old quarries's tunnels. 20 meters underground, the ossuary gathers the remains of millions of Parisians, transferred there between the end of the XVIII's century and the middle of the XIX's century, following the closure of the capital's cemeteries, because of insalubrity. A unique and spectacular tour !
